t minus 2 days in counting

when you wish upon a star
makes no difference who you are
YOU TOO CAN GO TO WALT DISNEY WORLD !!!

thursday, May 31st at approximately 1 pm the trip north commences. plans are to hit EPCOT after checking in to the Pop Century resort (on-site) and stay for the Extra Magic Hours. it is the last weekend of the Flower & Garden Festival and the theme this year is Pirates. there is also a must see Tinker Bell fairy garden area.

friday, June 1st is girl kid's 25th birthday and we will begin the day by riding the bus to the Magic Kingdom , directly to City Hall to embark on a 5 hour Keys to the Kingdom tour. this will take us to a behind the scenes look at all things magical including a trek within the utilidors.
lunch at the Columbia Harbor House is included. we are hoping the weather, which is forecasted to be thunder storms, holds out to see Tink fly during the fireworks and again, taking advantage of the EMH, stay until midnight. can you think of a more magical way to mark a quarter of a century? i know my half way mark adventure was well worth it!

does anybody actually ever read this basura? i am doubting this immensely.

i just wanted to make note of my new layout & how it reminds me of a pirate (cap'n's) log.

t minus 6 days until the next Disney launch, the first one of 2007. hoo yeah.

paz afuera, un amor.

Jesus Horatio Christ

i have had a hell of a time getting back to this freaking blog. no one told me they had changed everything. i have tried to comment on Lance's & Vanessa's blogs several times...to no avail of course because i kept getting the error message of "password not being valid".

anyway, things are things. i had a very, very bad depressive, panic, anxiety, mental and physical shutdown for about a month's time. i'm feeling about 68% better now.

all sorts of trip planning has been transpiring. at the end of this month we head to Disney for amanda's 25th...she's paying since she is the only one who is not a bum (of me & tim). she wants to stay on site to take advantage of the EMH (extra magic hours) on the actual Friday at the MK (Magic Kingdom). she is also springing for the $60 Keys to the Kingdom tour, a 5 hour behind-the-scenes walk to learn some secrets. we will be trying our darndest to win something, ANYTHING, in the Year of A Million Dreams giveaway.

we are proceeding with wedding plans as a GO...plane tickets just need to be bought to Indy. a caravan of sorts will then head to Mankato (Formoso) for the 07-07-07 soiree.

this concludes this mini update.

good night & may God bless.

what a world, what a world!

had a blast at Walt Disney World for my 50th birthday celebration. I wish I could have run away with the dude playing Captain Jack Sparrow in a side show at the PoTC ride, but alas...dream on!

thanks to my sisters Patsy & Liz I ate like a P I G hog @ Macaroni Grill...create your own pasta is the way to go...farfalle w/ pesto sauce is to die for.

Amanda & Roxanne got new tats in Tampa from our personal artist John John at Xtreme Tattoos, he's got 3 shops now and we still get the family discount.

things after that have not been pleasant yet we, as George Michael says, "gotta have faith."
2007 has just got to be a better year...it just has to!

that is all I have the energy for right now, i shall keep in touch with whoever and/or whatever reads this damned thing. check out my live journal, scorpio56.

peace,

time is speeding by

i have not blogged HERE for 2 1/2 months. so much has transpired that i can not remember it all. old age & bad memory are bitches!

house repairs began in the beginning of october as the public adjuster got us some monies from the insurance company. all should be finished by this week.
we have beautiful colonial type windows in white trim and a new white door. they also built a little roof overhang to keep the rain away from entrance and railing for the steps.
the living, family and dining rooms are blue, a darker shade (blueberry) on the outer walls and a lighter (nantucket fog) on the interior walls, except for the hallway into the guest bathroom which are dark & the wall with the bay windows is a shade in between the two shades.
we now have wood grain looking vinyl (no wax) tiles as flooring...bought at Dollar Tree. and the baseboards are also a light wood grain.
amanda's room is tinker bell green with light blue trim on the ceiling.
tim kept his red walls with black closet doors (and ceiling/wall trim) and 2 white panels at door way.
the laundry room is a pale yellow color.

speaking of this week, we (amanda, tim & kavita, & I) leave for Kissimmee on wednesday for 4 days of birthday celebration. wednesday evening we will be joined by liz & roxanne and thrusday morning patsy will be flying in to MCO. that is the 16th of november, for those not in the know, i turn 50 on that day and my wish is to be at the Magic Kingdom. the following day a trip is planned to tampa/st. pete, #1 priority is for new tattoos and/or piercings. we will also be meeting up with gayle (maybe jenny too) for dinner.

well, there are more things to write about but i am not emotionally ready to do so as of yet.

no plans yet for turkey day, i'd like to go to shoney's again this year but there is talk of cooking at home. one thing for sure, there has to be a party planned soon...mayhaps a house reheating after we get new furniture and finish up the place. $$$...i thank my lucky stars for amanda!

til the next time,

wasting away in Margaritaville - I WISH!

i thought i should incorporate a little of my LiveJournal persona into this blog, so i present you with one of my many icons.

life has been trudging along as best as it can...considering it's obstacles of course. i spend endless hours on the computer every day doing crossword puzzles or playing word & card games. i have also been making phone calls to insurance, mortgage, public adjuster, department of financial services, roofing companies, et al to get the damages repaired before a big storm hits. as it is, it has been raining almost every day & the inside walls are a constant stream of water and there are coolers & trash bins to collect the drips from the roof.

we have been dream house hunting, but the prices are idiotic. every apartment building has gone condo conversion which means they charge you 200K+ for a 1/1 and you share a wall, ceiling and or floor with someone else. oh, but they lure you with the amenities. we did find a house in Miramar, east of the turnpike, actually you can see it from the turnpike...it is a 4/2 with a pool, jacuzzi & bar, all nicely renovated for just 305K. (see it @ buyowner.com, #FTL65528)it is in a sort of ghettoey part of town, but if the neighbors can afford these prices, i can deal with it. there is a bit of flooding streets problem too. this is only a wish, dream & prayer stage...something i do very well, all the time.

i am feeling a bit better on the tummy thing (the yuckiness comes in goes in waves, hungry all the time to wanna puke my guts out the next) but still very much tired and run down...i think apart from the mold infestation i may be getting over the worst of my cold. i am waiting to get an appt with a hepatologist to check out the whole liver thing.

well, this has turned out to be a saga hasn't it? i'll catch everyone on the other side...break on through!

peace out, one love

sometimes you're the bug & sometimes you're the windshield

so, i am back. back to living la vida loca...i have been sick since my return from KC. I QUIT MY JOB! yeah, it sucks to be broke, but it was for my best interest not to be there. i am back to taxi-ing Amanda to/fro work and the rest of my time i am a bum.

tim is doing AOK on his new permanent position job, he was hired at 30K/year to be the IT guy. he has been buying musical gear to replace all that he lost in the past and he seems to be happy with his new friend girl.

the house, nay, the POS trailer, is in a bad way! we had a reinspection done by our insurance and a public consultant firm which is going to handle our claim of additional damages. the roof is leaking in so many places we have coolers, wastebaskets & tupperware all over...it is the hurricane season & the rains come every day. the walls are dripping inside & the carpet is getting more and more contaminated by mold & mildew...furniture is being damaged now as well. there is a major leak in the utility room which causes the fuse box to blow every now & again...i am hoping for a fire but only after i get all of our real collectible, necessities out of the house. i pray every day & night for a miracle and i have faith that things will turn soon!

i am tres excited about my nephew & niece-in-law's news about setting their wedding date as
7-7-07 and we can only hope that it will take place stateside. his mom, my BS (big sister - not in size but in age) & i went a little wacky with the whole planning a 7 theme but it is really up to them as to what they want, i will help in any way i can & i hope they know this.

well, well, i have updated here & not in my LJ...so it goes.

everyone be well & stay in touch.
